I love tinted moisturizer. A DIY tinted moisturizer is even better. BB cream will sometimes fit the bill but often I find that it’s just too heavy. It seems like they are getting heavier and heavier and I don’t know why. If you know why, please let me know so I can be smart. But I just appreciate the quick application and lightness of a good tinted moisturizer.

I found that I was amassing quite a collection of BB creams, CC creams, foundation in all forms – powder, liquid, sponge, serum, and cake as well as a ridiculous amount of skin care, mostly moisturizers because those are important. Instead of adding even more product to the problem by seeking out tinted moisturizers, I decided that there had to be an easier way. This is so simple that I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before now. If you already knew this, just skip on by, but if you love tinted moisturizers (hello, summer!) and don’t want to buy one. more. thing. then check it out.

DIY Tinted Moisturizer

You’ll need your favorite liquid or serum foundation and your favorite moisturizer. In the palm of your hand, put two drops of foundation and two drops of moisturizer. If your moisturizer is thick, just guesstimate because this isn’t rocket science. Mix them together with your finger and apply.

NOW. The secret is in the proportions. If you need more coverage, add more foundation and less moisturizer. If you want a more sheer look, more moisturizer and less foundation. It’s like the product with endless capabilities and you can use what you have.
