I first ran into Snoozies when my husband was in the hospital for an emergency gall bladder removal. He ended up staying three nights by the time it was all said and done, and I had plenty of time to wander around the hospital’s gift shop.
I saw some blinged out slippers in my favorite shade of blue and knew I had to have them. I wore them everywhere – down to the cafeteria, back to the gift shop, to the MRI room, wherever. I did not care. I was tired, worried, and just straight worn out.
Long after we left the hospital, I continued to wear my Snoozies. They were fleece lined, and perfect for cool days and nights. They had a non-skid coating on the bottom that I appreciated because we had wood floors. I loved everything about them.
Then one of the bows fell off. I was very sad.
I kept meaning to stitch it back on, it wasn’t exactly a difficult thing. But we were preparing for the Great Move of 2015, and it just slipped my mind. I’m not sure where my blue Snoozies ended up, but they didn’t show up at the new house.
But I found them again. While walking through a little boutique in Grapevine, Texas I spotted an insanely large display with every color imaginable. After much screeching, oohing and ahhing I grabbed a purple pair to wear.
