I’ve never been a huge fan of BB creams – they just seem like tinted moisturizer with sunscreen to me, and I never understood the “BB” part. It’s just tinted moisturizer. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but why pay the extra $$ if it’s just tinted moisturizer? I don’t know. Maybe one day I will figure that out.
But in the meantime, I found Pacifica Alight BB Cream. It says that it has some anti-aging botanical ingredients and I want to believe them. More importantly, though, I find myself reaching for this on a daily basis to the exclusion of other BB creams in my makeup drawer. Mostly because I don’t need foundation much these days (homebody that I am), but also because I love the way it makes my skin look.
Oh, it feels good too, but it has the ability to make my skin look pretty radiant, something you don’t find much at my age, and I’m addicted to that. According to Pacifica, it has specialized mineral ingredients that help achieve this. I don’t know what those minerals are, but I’d like more, please.
Essentially, it’s a light, luminous lotion that evens out skin tone a bit and gives almost a highlighting look to skin. A bare face with luminosity is the best way to describe it. And I can’t get enough.
Pacifica Alight BB Cream is $16 at Pacifica Beauty.
