Y’all. It’s been a long time, I know. But you wouldn’t even believe what’s been going on. First, we packed everything up and moved to Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas. Then we moved into a temporary apartment for two months while we searched endlessly for a new house. We found one, bought it, and are currently slowly moving our things from the apartment to the house. We left the vast majority of our furniture behind, opting to update (we lived in the same house with much of the same furniture for almost 20 years) and stop living like college students. So I’ve been endlessly searching for furniture and something to put in this house that is much bigger than my little beach cottage.
ANYWAY. I’ve been super busy. But I really have missed blogging and talking to everyone, and buying makeup. I haven’t bought much makeup. But I have a big order coming soon, and I can’t wait to unbox it with you.
But today I want to talk about a product that has been SO helpful in all this moving and traveling all over the place. Carrying a ton of beauty products from state to state and house to house is really inconvenient, so I’ve been digging around trying to find convenience products, or at the very least multi-tasking products. And I can honestly say that these two packages of Pacifica wipes have been a true lifesaver.
Driving long distances is not my favorite thing to do. In fact, faced with a long drive, I’m usually the one checking to see if I can take an airplane instead. I find driving to be incredibly boring, especially when you’re just heading down some interstate with nothing to look at except the road and all the semi trucks that are trying to run into you when they change lanes. I was driving about 10 hours a day, with three cats, a dog, and a husband & kids in a truck in front of me. This business wasn’t easy.
So every now and again I needed to freshen up. I didn’t use the Pacifica Underarm Deodorant Wipes as actual deodorant, although they would work perfectly for that, and those who are trying to stick with a natural deodorant instead of an anti-perspirant would find these more than helpful. They are seriously travel-friendly and can be used to freshen up just about anything. I used them often for my hands in the car, and during bathroom stops to freshen up my face, neck, or anything else that seemed hot and/or needing refreshment. The scent is pleasant but not overwhelming or chemical-y (is that a word? I’m going to go with it is), which is the absolute worst. Trust me, these Pacifica wipes will be a welcome addition to your makeup bag during travel or just in your purse. I can find a million uses for them.
And at the end of the day, I didn’t want to spend a great deal of time on a cleansing routine. I was generally exhausted, and unwinding with the entire family in small hotel rooms (or apartments – we are seriously living on top of each other) doesn’t involve standing at a sink. Because I will put mascara on no matter what I do at the very least, I needed to get it off before bed. That’s where the Pacifica Essential Makeup Removing Wipes were a lifesaver. Not only do these smell wonderful – a tropical coconut smell that doesn’t seem completely fake – they work like a charm. You know all those wipes out there that claim to take your eye makeup off in one swipe, but end up making your eyes burn as you scrub your eyelids? These Pacifica wipes are not that. Not at all. You can be as gentle as you need to be, and your makeup will come off no matter what. They aren’t overly greasy (although I don’t mind a bit of oil in my makeup remover – not only does it remove makeup extremely effectively, I can always use a bit of moisture around my eyes even though I have oily skin in general), and anyone can use them.
I have many, many more travel and convenience product picks, but these are the two that I used the most and continue to use even when I have many products now to choose from.
And I won’t even tell you how many boxes I filled with beauty products. Even I’m embarrassed about it.
